Eric brings a wealth of search and rescue, survival, and disaster management experience to the PerformanceCENTRIC team. Eric has dedicated his life “so that others may live” and has developed, through many years of operational search and rescue experience, an uncanny ability to find common-sense solutions to complex problems. Eric possesses an unbelievable work ethic, and sense of team that has enabled him to excel at everything he does.
Eric Larouche is currently retired from the military and involved in various community activities, such as the Electoral District Association for the Bay of Quinte. He has been involved in many aspects of civilian and military life, improving personal skills to help assess different requirements and to deliver support to people, committees, organizations and agencies, providing technical expertise to different working groups, and chairing/serving on Boards in support of small and large organizations in their personnel development or occupational requirements. One notable example was in 2010 when the organizers of the World Conference on Disaster Management requested his attendance and for him to brief the public on Search and Rescue capabilities in Toronto.
He feels fortunate that his passion for working with people, organizations, and serving on Boards has been consistently realized through leadership positions he’s held and opportunities he’s had with organizations such as Global Affairs Canada, Canada Border Services Agency, local and national Police Forces, Coast Guards, National Guards, Disaster Assistance Response Teams, Norwegian Airforce Survival School and the Aerospace Capability Team to ensure effective operations.
Eric has an intimate understanding of both people and process (Civilian/Military Coordination; Training Skills; Needs Assessments; Solving Complex Issues), allowing him to effectively engage the decision makers best suited to act. Organized and highly motivated to achieve lasting results, he has proven to be an excellent team player.
